Career
Laurie Johnson's professional career includes four decades with Hansen Thorp Pellinen Olson, Inc., a professional services consulting firm in the Minneapolis area. She was a principal owner of the firm for over 25 years and the majority owner for the last 18 years, serving as president of the firm until her retirement in 2023. Throughout her career she has provided technical and management training, including developing and conducting the company's leadership training for future owners.
Writing
Her first book, Is Small Business Ownership for You?, was published by Business Expert Press in November 2025. It draws on her experience and interviews with other small business owners.
